Seeking Carnies! Come One, Come All!

PuRi@ CNS 5771!

PuRim this year falls on Saturday Evening, March

 19th & Sunday March 20th.

Since Shabbat ends at  8PM, our Ma'ariv and Megillah service that night will begin at 8:30pm, and will be a traditional reading without kids' programming.  Minyan the next morning will begin at 9:30am.

Our free-wheeling,  festivity-full, family-friendly, food-for-feasting Purim Day, including a young-child-oriented Megillah Reading will be held on Sunday at 11am - featuring our annual

CNS PURIM CARNIVAL!

We're looking for some Carnies!  Would you like to be a ticket-taker, a face-painter, a balloon artist, a game attendant, a clown?  Would you like to be the ringleader of the Carnival?  We're looking for a team of parents to help organize the food and festivities.

If you'd like to help out in this way, please email

our Purim Squad at cnspurim@gmail.com.

Todah, and here's to an awesome Purim at CNS 5771!

HaMakom Yenacheim: Shloshim Service for Joan Sinai, z"l (Rabbi Bochner's mother)

Congregation Netivot Shalom

HaMakom Yenacheim - Shloshim Memorial

HaMakom Yenacheim- it was with great sadness that we shared the news of the passing of Joan Sinai, Yehudit Miryam bat Yoel veBasha z"l, mother of our teacher and friend Rabbi Shalom Bochner.

Rabbi Bochner has returned from shiva in Albany, and will be marking the Shloshim for his mother on Tuesday, March 15th, from 6-7:30.  Shloshim will begin with Minchah, will continue with some light refreshments and Rabbi Bochner sharing memories of his mother, and will close with Ma'ariv.

If you'd like to bring some refreshments, please consult the CNS Kashrut Policy, available online here: http://netivotshalom.org/kashrut_policy.  There will be tables set up in the back of the sanctuary for food to be placed.

It is good to welcome our friend home, and to offer the comfort in person we were sending to him and to his family while he was away.
